Country Eye Candy

Yesterday was all kinds of crazy. Work threw me some very unexpected curve balls and, while all is well, it left me mentally and physically tuckered OUT.

So what did I do? Went home, poured myself a glass of wine and spent some time on the Country Living website. It worked like a charm. And, because I love to share, here are a few images to feast your eyes upon.

I love the blue china. Okay - so I have never been attracted to blue. It just never got my attention in any real way but in the last few months, I have started noticing it and loving it. Suddenly I am craving blue around me. Not sure where that is coming from, but I am going to go with it.

How much would you love a wall of books? It is one of my home dreams - especially with the ladder. It is so movie set. I love.

I once had a friend say to me in college, "Joc - you are probably the only person I know who would go shopping and just come home with baskets." She was right. I adore them. I much prefer to store things in baskets rather than bulky plastic containers.

Here is another thing I have been into lately: oval mirrors. They remind me of turn of the century farmhouses and I just find the shape really appealing.

Last but not least, this lovely pic. I would LOVE to take a nap on that, under the tree. Growing up, we had a hammock in our backyard and I remember my Mom just letting us nap on it as much as we wanted in the summer. There is nothing like waking up, staring at the sky.

Today is already looking to be less hectic, which is promising for my sanity. Happy Tuesday!

  1. Blue isa color that stimulates the creative part of your brain -- perhaps that's why you are craving blue -- you've got something creative that wants to be seen or read or heard.

I LOVE the whole wall with the oval mirror. The mirror wouldn't be nearly the standout it is without all those other frames surrounding it, not to mention the subtle stripes.

I answered your question in my blog comments, BTW.

Nice post. Just what I needed after my day. All better now.
