My, my, my - I have been neglecting my blog. Many times over the last few weeks I have thought about it longingly the way one remembers family trips to the coast as a child, minus my sister and I pulling each others hair in the back seat.
The truth is, my life has been busy. Busy at work, busy at home - busy all around. I was told by many o' bride that as the clock ticks towards the wedding day, all of your spare time gets eaten up with planning and I can now say that they were all absolutely stinkin' right. However, it is with a smile on my face that I continue planning the last of the details for once this is done, it is done. In the scheme of my life, this is but a small moment in time and so I am trying to just soak it all up, one place setting and napkin color at a time.
Another one of the reasons I have been so busy is that on Tuesday night, after 14 months of being apart, my fiance Dan got on a plane, with his visa in tow, traveled for 30 hours and landed in Portland, OR, USA.
It was one of the best moments of my life.
The second I saw him round the corner, I started crying. I didn't care who was there at the airport that night or how ridiculous we looked - as soon as I hugged him, I couldn't let go.
